Key Tasks


Commercial baking offers you a fulfilling career.  In this Apprentice role you will learn how to produce breads, cakes, pastries and biscuits in a commercial baking environment.  You'll gain the skills and confidence to perform a range of baking tasks, including:

  • Provide assistance to the Lead Baker
  • Prepare and place produce out for sale before the Bakery opens
  • Ensure ingredients meet quality standards and are used in-line with proportionate quantities
  • Implement hygienic food handling practices and mantain a clean and safe working environment


You must be available to work Monday to Friday and sometimes need to work overtime at the weekends. You will be a team-oriented person, be passionate about producing high-quality bakery produce, demonstrate good understanding of hygienic food practices and use your initiative.
